WebCOGATI stands for the Coordination of Generation and Transmission Investment. It’s the brain/bastard child of the Australian Energy Market Commission (AEMC). According to the Smart Energy Council, it’s possibly the worst from a long list of stupid energy policy ideas we’ve seen in Australia over the last decade. The Council explains COGATI as: WebCOGATI review where the AEMC set out a plan to implement access and charging reforms in stages over the next five years. The AEMC also published a supplementary information paper on 4 April 2024 to provide further information and context to stakeholders about the need for access and charging reforms.
